Thanks, Mom!!

Just below freezing, starts Mother's Day

As, the big High dome slips away

Another storm to the north & west

Though we have passed Spring's crest

Signs of summer, we've yet to see

Yet, soon me thinks we'll hear the plea

"When will this cooking heat abate?"

Likely 'til Fall, we'll have to wait

So, enjoy the cool, with the breeze

Lingering Spring is just a tease

Before the warming world begins

To crank it up a notch, again

Today On Earth

Another day with low earthquakes

Philippine's 5.3, biggest shake

Have quakes really slowed down

With so many humans gone to ground

Certainly city air is cleaner

Pollution numbers looking leaner

But, fewer quakes, not so sure

Research, studies, there'll be more

But, opening up what'll be slow

Into crowds, many will not go

And, just to do a daily task

Keep your distance, wear a mask

That's the new reality

And, what prez refuses to see

Economy won't be jumping back

While we're under viral attack

Still, thru space, Earth does fly

And, Venus is drawing nigh

Birds are singing, chowing down

Leaves lush in this forest town

Yet, not far away, cutting trees

To replant a solar farm, please!

Greed driven stupidity

Is everywhere to see

We need solar, we need trees

Easy power, the cooling breeze

Cut down trees, overpopulate

For disaster, won't be a long wait!

But, 

Refocus, on this Mother's Day

Thanks to Moms, we're all in play

Time to put more in charge

Stop the male greed/war barrage

Pay them well, listen more

Putting needs, not wants, before

I thank Ann for all she did

Making me the happy kid

I am today

On Earth!!
