More Grosbeaks have arrived
Now fighting to survive
Two on feeder, opposite sides
Peeks around, squawks, then hides
Birds are feisty little things
Gold finches, hummers, battling
Then squirrels running off birds
For those tree rats, no good words
Release the dog or cock pellet gun
Then we'll have some rodent fun:)
Finally blue skies but a little cool
Trough back East, cool's gonna rule
While it's cool here, out West: HOT
Now, Flagstaff 39, Phoenix 71
Still early, be over 100 in sun
In capital later today
With fires coming their way
Global warming is worldwide
Cool now, but no good place to hide
From the coming storm
When 100+ will be summer norm
Heat waves, droughts, storms, floods
One spot parched, another with mud
With more pandemics to come
With leaders: evil, greedy & dumb
Only one hope, use less gas & oil
CO2 is like wrapping Aluminum foil
Around Earth, to keep in heat
Natural greenhouse effect, neat!
It's why life is here
Too much CO2, things get severe
To really make temps insane
Melt tundra, release the methane!
There is really no turning back
From coming rising temp/sea attack
But we can loosen Earth's heat wrap
No subsides, tax breaks with CO2 cap
Will oil & gas cost more?
It already does, just not at store
With taxes we all pay
So US military holds sway
To protect greedy corporations
In their foreign infiltrations
Let them pay their own protection
Stop their groundwater injection
Enforce rules & laws from EPA
Then a true price we would pay
Then a quick switch we'd make
Realizing oil economy is real fake
News!
Mag. 6.6 quake, Mediterranean Sea
But, no tsunami there seems to be
5.4 quake off Puerto Rico
So much for numbers getting low
Iran with a 5.0 quake
And, Oklahoma having a shake
Dominican Rep. just a 4.2 pop
Shaky planet just won't stop
Shaking, quaking, rock a'breaking
Today On Earth
🌔
Gibbous moon in Leo tonight
Cool, clear skies, a lovely sight
Venus still beaming in the west
Just a month left in its quest
To catch Earth in the race
Around the sun, got a faster pace
It'll catch & slide just above sun
Then, late June, morning star fun
Catch it in its rapid drop
Toward a close Mercury stop
Later in May
Time to get out & play
Today On Earth
Stay safe
Be smart
Ignore the prez
Stay apart
