The Summer season hesitates
While the virus just devastates
For leadership, we still wait
More dead than Vietnam & Korea
Responsibility? Prez says seeeeya
Heads out for some golf cheating
While economy takes a beating
Ozark hillbillies frolic in a pool
Science nor logic required in school
Beaches packed, masks not seen
Latest in viral spreading scene
Northam taking selfies at the beach
With no mask in his reach
Worried it might smear black face
Common sense, we see not a trace
On a day to remember war dead
Focus on "me" & greed instead
Brazil & US, epicenters of stupidity
Both with "leaders" ignoring reality
While the bodies pile higher
Earth don't care if you're a liar
Earth don't care what you believe
Doesn't care who you deceive
Will just keep on spinning
So the economy isn't winning
Play it smart, be a fool
Still got a basic rule
Adapt, Migrate or Die
Adapt, we gave it a try
Migrate, we've been laying low
Now doesn't seem good time to go
Yet, fat Americans all about
Waddling with bellies stuck out
Sadly, lifestyle will kill more

And, no one seems to care

So, were all those war deaths in vain
If we just deny, blame & complain
Sure feeling that way
On this Memorial Day
Life is feeling pretty cheap
As lies are allowed to creep
Into every corner of the USA
Solutions slip further away
Earth isn't going to cooperate
Global warming will not wait
While on beaches, fools having fun
No escaping the damage done
Just as surely
As hurricane season starting early
10 years from now, what'll we see
Wonder where that beach will be
In hotel lobbies at low tide
Be a lot fewer places to hide
Current slow down has shown
A way we could be goin'
Use less oil & gas
Chinese crap, take a pass
Air will clear, animals roam
If we spend more time at home
For me, no pool party, no beach
I'm staying out of dumbass reach
When warnings are ignored
More bodies will be stored
That is not the way
To remember Memorial Day
1,000's didn't make ultimate sacrifice
So, fools could ignore good advice
And, do what we're all dreading
Keep the virus spreading
So, remember those who gave it all
