While corona numbers soar
One thing is for sure
Punk'n Head prez is loving it
Gets to show off why he's a twit
With a press conference every day
Gets to get up & have his say
Doesn't care what he said yesterday
Won't let the truth get in the way
Long as he's getting attention
Knows supporters have little retention
Rest of us just ignore his lies
Like he ignores health care cries
Protective gear & ventilators
"They're coming" sooner or later
Every day his stories change
As rest of us rearrange
Our lives, our world, hanging on
'Til better times come along
Looking like that could be awhile
Gotta look for new ways to smile!!
Today On Earth
Me, hunkered down is what I do
Blog, then take a walk through
The rapidly greening trees
Suddenly, dealing with bees
And, other flying pests
All looking to ingest
A little sip of my blood
With heat, insects soon a flood
Sleeves, protective glasses, a hat
Make 'em work to eat this cat!
Another lower than average day
Of quakes on USGS display
Front came thru late & dry
Today's temps not as high
As near 90 yesterday
For short time clouds out of way
Moon, Venus & Subaru
All came shining through
But, comet, I couldn't find
Moon likely made the sky blind
To tiny little fuzzy ball
Time will tell if visible to all
Sad virus note, John Prine
Got corona, unlikely to be fine
That said
Likely, many more dead
So, be smart
Stay apart
Up to you, up to me
