No two days are ever the same
Alas, Earth plays same ole game
Few day of sun, then some rain
Chill it comes, then do it again
Big earthquake, then a break
Pressures build, release, another shake
Yesterday, sun, warm then cirrus clouds
Today we've got the full on shroud
Mass of rain headed our way
But, in the 50's so no snow in play
Overnight rain then a pause
Another batch Wednesday, just because
Then arctic air will make a push
By late week, in cold will rush
March likely to start with a chill
But, that wild month will bring thrills
Time change, equinox
Growing leaves with sun blocks
But, this week more February
Back to skies, looking dreary
Ain't nothing we can do
(I could have gone south for a few)
With our current warming trend
Winter likely to just end
Without snow or much fanfare
On to spring & a wandering bear
Yesterday's Iran/Turkey border quake
Now mag. 6.0 & nine lives it did take
Puerto Rico still 26 quakes at 2 & 3
More than rest of world will see
(Actually, not, but will let it go
To make list gotta be above a fo')
Our sun still at solar minimum
Betelgeuse, no blow, just simmerin'
Oh, that big star is gonna blow
When is what we don't know
Cause geo time is long & deep
Our learning curve is still steep
If you only look ahead days or a week
Means long term answers you don't seek
Did see Venus through clouds last night
It's got the Pleiades in its sight
Earth's got to move to get that done
But, we will keep going round the sun
Early April, will be quite the view
Venus will be just below Subaru
Or Seven Sisters, as it's is known to us
Sweet star cluster on edge of Taurus
Seven Sisters, Subaru or Pleiades
Tiny little dipper is what we sees
Six stars usually what eyes can spot
But, in binocs, dozens more, it is hot!
Big brown dog has just wandered in
At the bird seed, again
Time to get out, take our walk
So, no politics will I talk..
Just a downer, any way
Few good ideas, none in play
So, you and I will just keep on
Enjoy today's spin toward the sun
And, night when we turn away
I hope you had a fine Monday
Today On Earth
