Another Storm, Big Kuril Quake

Big dog and I want to take a walk
But pouring rain, for now, we balk
Entire US east coast
Rain or snow, all can boast
Moisture for Gulf of Mexico
Streaming north, it's gonna go
Here, though rain, far from cold
But, northern plains, air is bold
Warm, cold, frigid; 3 distinct zones
Valentines, all chilled to our bones
Across Pacific, in the Kuril Isles
Earth shifted, shook for awhile
Big ole quake, magnitude 6.9
But, no tsunami, so all is fine
Volcanic islands, no one's there
But, 15 volcanoes blasting elsewhere
Popo back at it outside Mexico City
Piton de la Fournaise, lava flowing pretty
In Iceland, Reykjanes, big magma pit
Not far below surface, it just sits
Japan, two mountains blasting away
Off Java, Krakatoa still in play
3 other Indonesian eruptions ongoing
Philippine's Taal, when will it be blowing?
3 blasting Kamchatka, to go with big quake
Alaska's Shishaldin seems to be on a break
Still only quakes on Hawaiian Isles
That hot spot been on chill for awhile
Forecast is for the rain to soon clear
And, frigid air to move into here
Easy to take cold with some sun
Can bundle up & let the big dog run
Be nice to get out, check out night sky
Next week, moon with planet fly by
First Mars, then Jupiter, then Saturn, too
But, gotta be up early to view
In the evening, Venus still super bright
But, Mercury is dipping out of sight
And, stars of winter still a delight
Will Betelgeuse go supernova? tonight?
Actually, would have happened long ago
475 years 'fore we see that light show
Cause space is big, all is far away
But, eventually light comes our way
So, want to take a look back in time
Our galaxy, it is quite sublime
Bundle up, go out for a look
Around our celestial nook
Today On & Off Earth
