We sit just north of stalled boundary
Wedge pushing south, we're cloudy
And, much cooler than deep south
They're in swamp air from the mouth
Of the Gulf, humid, hot, record breaking
Will be several days before it's shaken
We'll get a taste in a couple of days
Seems summer is in a linger phase
Spring ending winter earlier, too
Our new warmer world shining through
And, it's a shaky planet, always
Alaska & Cali, lot of earth sways
Mid-ocean ridges & African rift
Pacific rim, more rock getting the shift
Pacific plate daily forced under
Eurasian plate just minor rock thunder
Didn't check out planets & moon
Do know Full Harvest coming soon
Saturday, luckily moon farthest away
Apogee will help with less tidal sway
And battered coasts could use a break
Today, Tokyo reeling in typhoon wake
Faxai raked Honshu with wind & rain
Worldwide, storms sharing the pain
Tomorrow, Atlantic season statistical peak
If your watching like this weather geek
Know; there will be more storms coming
Joys of coastal living changes to bumming
Adapt! But, can we to 185 mph wind
Warmer temps & ice melt continue to send
Sea level, tides & storm surges higher
Alas, we still wallow in the mire
Of greed, myth and denial
Yet, everyday a new Earth trial
Likely to be found guilty as charged
Deal with temps and oceans enlarged
Not going to shoot our way out of this one
Fighting Earth, not a war that can be won
How do we stop the plastic use?
Or quickly stop hydrocarbon abuse?
Less is only way to get to more
Less shopping, less waste for sure
Smarter energy production
Need massive CO2 reduction
OK with more sex, but need fewer kids
Contraception push, put on growth lids
Need to get back to women in charge
Cuz men have made small problems large
My solution ideas pretty simple:
More sex, fewer kids
Keep your religion to your self
Do more, eat less
Focus on needs not wants
Buy less and drive less
Build with Earth, not just on Earth
And, remember: More is not better
It's just more
And, what drives cancer
Smarter is better
Less is better
If we are smart about it
And, contrary to what we see daily
We humans are quite smart
I got reminder the hard way
If you sit on your ass all day
Your back won't want to play
I need to do some movin' today!
