Yearly orbit continues, north tilts away
But, tilt don't matter on Equinox day
Sun rose due East, will set due West
Beam straight down on equator with zest
12 hours of light & dark everywhere!
Well, not quite, with our atmosphere
That distorts the sun for our eyes
Delays the set and the rise
Just a wee little bit
Still 3 days 'till we get
12 hours light & 12 hours dark
So, why still summer's bite and bark
I may have mentioned..once before
All our CO2 has shut the door
Atmosphere just won't let heat out
So, summer's hanging, ain't no doubt
Hurricanes trying to move heat to cool
Yet, we still ignore warnings & rules
Adapt we have, migrate we do
Death avoidance, can do that, too
But, can't ignore populations boom & bust
Or that on science, we should trust
Research & truth really do matter
Still on we breed, growing ever fatter
Thinking faith & miracles will
Keep away realities chill
Still not seeing any signs of that
With greed & war still where we're at
Strengthen economy with xmas shopping!
And, fossil fuels, we ain't stopping!
So..who will slow massive human birth
Will it be us, or will it be Earth?
Pretty slow earthquake day
But, little 2.5 shake in westend of RVA
Yes, Virginia, still in earthquake zone

Quakes in Nevada, Utah & Arizona
And, the fracking plague, Oklahoma
Chile, Albania & Indonesia
Shaking along with Micronesia
