Big storms rolled down the James
One drainage north, it was pretty tame
That cold front quickly put on the brakes
Northern air doesn't have what it takes
To get deep into the south these days
So it stalled and has washed away
Leaving clouds and cool before
The next one is at our door
That will be here late tomorrow
And could cause Mother's Day sorrow
It too, will stall and hang around
A damp weekend, rain on the ground
Earth! What ya gonna do? Leave?
There is action on the Congo/Rwanda border
Two volcanoes stirring up disorder
Both quiet since last year
But with the city of Goma near
Always a little eruption fear
What will happen, never quite clear
Lava did flow
Into the city
It wasn't pretty!
Elsewhere, Colima is back in old Mexico
Italy's Etna, gassy and ready to blow
18 this week, almost half in Indonesia
Sinabung is back, giving locals a seizure
At least a quiet earthquake day, so far
And, with clouds, tonight nary a star
If it's clear where you are viewing
'Tween Leo & Gemini the moon is skewing
Time for me to go walking
A wayward dog ain't talking
But, he was out all night
He's a wild boy alright
You should get out too
Today On Earth!
