Summer Solstice, Annular Eclipse & Human Pandemonium!

Today is the longest day of the year
Why? Well, it's our tilt, that's clear
And, while we're tilted near today
Down under, they are tilted away
We start summer, south, winter starts
In Tulsa, people gather without hearts
Still, the viral pandemic rages on
How many rally attendees soon be gone
Docs calling it a super-spreader event
But, self-loving prez is hell bent
On telling fools how he's so smart
Ain't no need to stay apart
Drink some bleach, shine light up ass
Soon the virus will just pass
Over at Stonehenge, crowds await
Ancient knowledge/skill pretty great
Today's fools, science they deny
Mention heaven, they look to sky
If I believe, it must be true
Lot of con men waiting for you
Send 'em your money & they'll pray
You send even more their way
Today, one thing's very clear
Easy to find, what you want to hear
Don't like truth, call it fake news
Carry on with your twisted views
Hatred spread all about
Jesus so proud, ain't no doubt
And, while heaven, no one can prove
Science knows, moon is in a groove
To slide 'tween Earth & the sun
Almost.. put daylight on the run
Annular Eclipse starts in Congo
Into S. Asia the path will go
In Tibet, the peak eclipse is seen
N. Philippines exits the scene
Because moon is little farther away
Won't block sun out completely
Still be a very cool thing
Sun with just a tiny bright ring
Also, cool up in the sky
Moon with crescent Venus nearby
Didier Favre is the man
Telescope in command
He took this shot
Pretty hot
On & off our world, it's so cool
So sad, so many watch fox & drool
Remember, science built your phone
Maybe throw science a bone
If your phone takes a fall
Maybe give your priest a call
He could pray, make it all better
Get pope to send a repair letter
Or send Billy Graham's son some money
He will pray & tell you all is sunny
Tell you in heaven, need no phone
Send us money, you won't be alone
But, if for you we pray
You gonna have to pay!!
Man's oldest con
Still rolling on...
Today On Earth

While in the Earth, more slipping
Mostly where plates are dipping
S. Pacific Ring, not a shock
Pressure builds, movin' rock
Just now, mag. 5.4, north of Iceland
Mid-Atlantic Ridge met lava demand
Move aside, hot rock coming thru
Always a new shake or two
Today On Earth

Cut-off Low still off the map?
Yet, still clouds & storms zap
Our entire region from W.Va
All down Carolina way
Forecasters claim it's getting hot
But, still it's cool we've got
On the first day of summer
Cool is really not a bummer
Hope you enjoy your longest day
Hope prez & racism go away
So, stay safe
Be smart
Mask up
Stay apart
Today On Earth
Happy Solstice
Get out and watch
The Sun Stand Still!!
