A Fine July Friday

Three years ago today
Breyer dog came my way!
Now
Squirrels are romping in the yard
Big brown dog is napping hard
He'll get up and give 'em a run
But...not until this nap is done
Me, getting all set up for Medicare
With daChump, will it still be there?
Will the folks we have elected
Keep our world somewhat protected?
Hard to say with rampant greed
Not sure how next they will proceed
Locally, building houses, cutting trees
Ignoring our overwhelming pleas
To keep our homes in rural space
Continue to lie to our face
Heat wave water contained sediment
Their pipe line facing major impediment
Throwing our money after dreams
No plans or clues, so it seems
We will keep watching & prying
And, nail ya for your cheating & lying
Can't wait till January 2021
See daChump hauled out at gun
Point
To the joint
Take his golf clubs away
Locked up till his final day
Firing squad to put him away!
I'll sign up to send bullet his way!

Got onto a little tirade
So much slime, & they're getting paid
Let's get back to Earth
Just what is a fine day worth
Worth a walk, ride or stroll
Nice dry air makes me lose control
Lose control of my senses
Want to wander free of fences
Only a short walk so far
Longer coming, then to the bar?
It is Friday and while retired
Weekend does still get me fired
Up and ready to go out
See some friends, give a shout
Sounds like something a Holladay
Should consider exploring today

California back to shaking
Magnitude 4.7, rock a'quaking
Rest of planet fairly quiet
Japan, Indonesia, minor boundary riot
Oklahoma still fracking quakes
Get that oil, don't care what it takes
Cause with humans, it's about greed
More and more and more we "need"

Old Indian gave us a thought, his warning
American greed-heads thought it funny
Air, water, soil polluted, famines swarming
Then we'll discover you can't eat money!

Talk & smile, just don't tweet
Buy local to eat
And, have a lovely
Today on Earth
