Went back today: 66, 52 & 34 years
Mostly smiles as the smoke & fog clears
Kindergarten, college, move back to VA
All at a fine funeral, got personal clarity
But, we all remembered Gretchen Bradley
She was as fine a person as fine can be
At St. Matthew's church, got long histories
My mom & Gretchen regular attendees
She rented rooms, my VA return base
From there, my paths lead to current space
Life is full of decisions & sudden detours
I can look at mine, go on, check yours..

Out on the planet, Erin rages so near
Little rain & mist, sky so not clear
On coast, dumbasses, had to stay
To fix up their mess, want us to pay
Live on the coast, suck it up bro'
Pretty simple rules w/ water flow
Water gonna go where it wants to
Hang on & surf, all you can do
Just don't stay, then call 911 for rescue

Delusional donnie, thinks vlady cares
Vlady: full boat, donnie raises w/ pairs
Full boat of bombs, still rainin' down
donnie sees a deal, lil vlady sees a clown
While we're in the cool, fires still rage
Be decades 'fore out of warming stage
Lot fewer human, if any at all
Simple Earth rules can lead to quick fall
Easy way to meet a simple need
Don't have kids you can't feed
Or clothe.. or teach to read...
