The meekly named mountain, Sulfur Mine (Soufriere), on the, until now, idyllic island of St. Vincent is about to blow, warnings given, residents fleeing. If you lived there and didn't already have a plan..what were you thinking? Apparently the magma dome, that growing bulge, is now glowing red; that sounds like a pretty good warning.
We are still on the cool side of a warm front that is about to be caught and lifted, occluded. Rain after midnight, a little more during the night and grey and cool now; more rain will be coming, off and on all weekend as a series of fronts sweep through.
