1st full day of spring, wintery feel
Good chance, it'll soon get real
Heavy rain & wind rolled on thru
Cool today but soon heat is due
Cookin' out west, dixie mo' storms
Cuz, world warming is new norm
We've already hit 'goal' didn't want
Us baby boomers'll forever haunt
We burned the oil, tripled world pop
Now old, we still won't stop
Deny reality, ignore any blame
So, Earth about to deal us a new game
HOT, then even hotter still
As the trees we still look to kill
In my woods, lotta oaks...dead
Heat? disease? Some new dread
Cutting forest into small chunks
Park new house, local funks
Ring quake numbers remain high
Sunspot group spinning on by
Outside, it don't feel like spring
For now, down jacket's the thing
Today On Earth
A long dead, VA pine
To pileated, that's just fine!!
