After another day trashing the midwest
Today, east coast is put to the test
Good news, Appalachians are in the way
And, even old mountains, keep wildness at bay
Tornadoes like it flat w/o many trees
Where 2 air masses can rudely disagree
Speaking of rude, a tick crawling on my head
Heat means, time for that blood sucking dread
Back to wild storms, likely later today
We'll know for certain, when they slide away
Still, mountains will slow the assault

We could use a little rain

Best to bloom early for a low tree top
