After several days of gloom & fog
Will sun appear as I write this blog
Stuck in the low 50, hardly winter
Earth tendencies continue to splinter
Colorado, wild wind, fire, now snow
Maybe..it's not the place to go
Hundreds of home, burned to the ground
Which is bone dry w/ no rain around
Chinook winds raging down Front Range
100+mph, sadly that is not strange
Sun, beginning to peek out
Another warm day coming, no doubt
Another 1,417 'Mericans, no New Year
Falsebook over science, oh my dear
Average quake day, reminders, not concerns
As we wrap one of 4.5+ billion turns
Around our nearby, life giving star
Seems.. we have come so far
Yet, to our planet, we continue to mar
Hydrocarbons, a boon & lasting scar
Years, Earth is not counting
But, for humans, issues mounting
Easy to spot the the issue here
Any photo.. too many people there
Want a handout but deny reality
Have hope, soon, more, enough will see
Today On Earth
