Ventilator in, for one last wheeze
With another 10,000 dead this week
Anything but science the TDS* seek

Well, no, you are not
And, here's a little reality, hot shot
With no vaccine, death is what ya got

Life could be good, schools open wide

Still some shakes, still big storms
2021 new hottest summer, just new norms
But, 20 years on, we all remember
Where we were that day in September
Since... another billion & a half alive
Too bad so few will ever actually thrive
Too bad worldwide support did not last
W. & crew took care of that fast
Too bad we did not learn
As on the fossil fuel we burn
War remains good for a rich few
But, for the rest, a serious screw
The pain will well up again today
Especially for...
Families, with loved ones gone away
Flight 97, 40 heroes, indeed
They made a plan, met a need
But, that didn't plant a seed
In "leaders" bent on revenge & greed
Now the terrorists live nearby
With no mask or vax, on they lie
Got their guns loaded & aimed
Who next will be blamed
Sun, Moon, Venus all look on
Don't care if humans here or gone
But, we sure should
If only we would
Maybe if a little more aware
We'd show a little more care
