Making outside time a bummer
Dog Star, Sirius, hanging with the sun
Does its heat add to hot summer fun
That would be NO, it does not
Tilt & temp lag is why it's so hot
But, Greeks & Romans didn't know
Just that Sirius put on brightest show
With a star so very bright
Had to add heat, right...
Even when they figured it out
Expression "Dog Days" hung about
And, dogs sure don't like the heat
Mine longs for a creek for his feet
Or nice cool spot on the floor
Near AC or a fan, he wants more
Got his head on a cool stool base
Chill concrete under his face
Me, I got the coffee as August begins
TrumpVirus deaths not gettin' thin
Florida & Texas battle it out
For who can take most people out
Both got idiot governors, republican
Economy over health, was their plan
Suck up to Punk'n Head prez, their man
Now, no economy, just death & ruin
Between those states over 500 dead
Cali is competing but won't list
How many citizens daily missed
Prez still lying about mail-in fraud
But, has hit post office hard
New postmaster has cut & slashed
Delivery times have been trashed
Typical prez, create problem that was OK
Blame democrats & walk away
Now there are problems with the mail
But, like all issues, follow the trail
All result from country with no leader
Just king-wanna-be lying tweeter

Will be fixed with Donny's gone away!

Dems passed an aid deal back in May
Now evictions rise, jobs go away

Just lies, death, chaos swirled
