The Earth takes another spin
Hope you have shared a grin
Here, similar to yesterday
But, different, too, have to say
Clouds cleared out for the night
But, came on back, blocking sunlight
Clear nights allow temp to drop
Clouds, for solar heating: a stop
So, the wood stove burns on & on
Wishing the clouds'd move along
But, ain't nothing I can do
Cut up another tree or two...
Watch the birds, take a nap
Ignore the constant DeeCee yap
Hope coronavirus stays away
Or that in China it will stay
It's the country Earth would get back
For all endangered species attack
Tigers, rhinos, elephant ivory
Rape & pilage for all to see
But, Earth don't care, keeps a'spinning
Long term, planet will be winning

Lot of quakes, offshore of Greece
Pressures build, then they release
Indonesia & Acapulco, Mexico
Felt ground moving to & fro
Hawai'i still with little shakes
But, still no eruption lava makes

Taal still simmers in Philippines
Iceland's Reykjanes making a scene?
18 mountains 'round the world
Giving ash & lava a swirl
Pretty obvious warning: stay away
I could go big any ole day
Etna still with big eruptive show
Galapagos's Fernandina gonna blow?
Western Ring wins again this week
If active volcanoes you happen to seek
I choose calmer eye treats
Forest views, moss under feets
Moon & planets in the sky

After darkness has drawn nigh
But, even with the air on chill
Get on out, always a thrill
So lucky to just step outside
To take a calming woodland glide
With another spin, more change to see
In a new spot, we'll all be
Cruising almost million miles/day
As in sun's orbit we're gonna stay
Here, how'd a spider just appear?
On table, from where unclear
OK if they stay out of the way
If not, big swatter will come to play
