A Hump Day Monday

For many (not me) it's just like Monday

But, the week has just hit halfway

Least parades & fireworks are done

We can get back to daily deaths by gun

Over 100/day

In the great USA

Pols were all out on the stump

GOP field all looking quite plump

But, then anywhere you look in USA

See morbid obesity waddling your way

Pence, De Satan & Trump

All way past pleasantly plump

No longer talking about Obamacare

Plan to fix our mess, none they share

Yet, our 'health' care system sure is ill

Cuz we wanna fix it all w/ just a pill

Exercise & diet

Yea..that's a riot

It ain't about health, it's to deal w/ sick

Run tests, prescribe meds, so slick

Doc & insurance kick-backs

W/ all the poor slipping thru cracks

Who..scream 'right' to health care

But, lose a few lbs..they wouldn't dare

Problem easy to see, it's all of us

But, we whine & bitch, make a fuss

Fix issues at home, we won't do that

But, quick to blame is where we're at

All as July's heat remains set to simmer

And, kids on break grow a little dimmer

Likely another day of big storms

As ever onward the planet warms

Little quakes, little pressure release

Sun spot activity, no signs it'll cease

Population growth, always more

Then invasions on Europe's shore

Queued at our border, too

We do know the drugs will get thru

And, 'merican guns headed south

Then any punk can have a big mouth

As usual, it's not us that we blame

But, drugs & guns are 'merica's game

And, sugar & oil & GMO food

Stocks remain high, all must be good

Lil' Vlady, mo' troubles in his lil' war

Seems his 'fighters' can't get very far

Emptying prisons hasn't worked out

Giving other dick-tators a shout

Time to venture into Hump Day heat
