Rain Is Gone, Here Comes The Wind!

2 1/2" of rain has come & gone
Now in New England movin' on
A big storm centers around a Low
Then a High moves in, wind will blow
When pressure differences are great
The atmosphere just can't wait
To move & shift, get back to equal
So, what we get is, Wind: The Sequel
A little sun was nice earlier today
But, clouds return, blocking those rays
I can hear the wind howling outside
Loose, small objects getting a ride
With the tirehouse, mostly underground
Boreas, the wild North wind goes around
With front thru, temps dropping fast
April temps never long last
In February
Just north & west they're getting snow
Winter still has a ways to go
But, warming world, easy to explain
Why here we're just getting rain
That's the call into next week
So, if it's wintertime you seek
Got to go a ways up in altitude
Or pole-ward, north in latitude

Breyer's out eating bird seed
You'd think that I don't feed
That big ole brown dog
He just eats like a hog
Always looking for a snack
With a nose always on track
He's a mess!!

Another average quake day worldwide
Boundary rocks always ready to slide
Nothing approaching a major quake
Biggest 5.5 in the Passage of Drake
Where water's cold & waves are wild
Southern Ocean, even summer not mild

Here creeks & rivers still in their banks
So, low on flood scale this storm ranks
Will we get a clearing evening sky
Then, perhaps Mercury, I can spy
Moon still waxing, closing in on Full
Tonight in Gemini, away from the bull
Next to Leo & Regulus, so bright
Where it's Full at 2:33am Saturday night
New solar, sunspot cycle about to begin
Long solar minimum coming to an end
Our star's still active, blasting forth
Causing auroras way up north
Here's the scoop, dress for wind & cool
And, wear a hat, don't be a fool
But, do get out and look around
In the city, country or town
Today On Earth
