It would not be bold
To say USA is cold
Coast to coast, bottom to top
This cold air mass did not stop
Only Miami missed cold squeeze
Only there is it above 60 degrees
While cold, there's lot of sun
For the tirehouse, heating fun
And, like most of this winter's chill
It will be a short-lived thrill
Cold thru tomorrow morn
Then back to 50's, above norm
South of here, yesterday, SNOW
To school, many did not go
But before Monday, it will be gone
As more warm & rain comes along
Threw some seed out on the ground
Gold Finch horde is chowing down
Only a couple of dozen right now
That can double quickly - wow!!
So cool how they drop from sky
Straight down, 'til ground is nigh
Then, out with the wings
So casually doing those bird things

Supergiant is getting bright again
430 day cycle has just kicked in
Just how bright will it get
Go out, check Orion's armpit
Sky tonight should be clear & bright
With no moon, a lovely sight
Moon is New this Sunday
But, near apogee, farther away
And, while there will be Spring tides
Deep onshore they won't ride
What might give sea level a boost
If chunk of Antarctica leaves its roost
Signs of a major break coming
Florida sized iceberg, ocean bumming
Warming oceans eating at ice
From below, a sneaky device
Change just keeps rolling along
While deniers sing denial song
Earth still doesn't care
If lies "believers" share

Earthquake-wise, another shaky day
But, nothing really big underway

Subduction giving rocks a ding
Time to go find a big dog

Bundle up, then get out & play
Pretty soon cold will be gone
Heat & bugs will come along
